Wasn't too hard. Can't wait to see if I put it together all cross-eyed or not.

That looks so cool!

Have you considered having the bright pieces powdercoated black? Just a thought.

All I can say is WOW ! I am very impressed...Great Job. One is close to the top of my list , but I have 9 .22's to feed already. I've seen one in person , but not in action. Very impressive in the videos that I have seen.

If General Lee would have had a dozen of these ...We would have Won that War !

I'm pretty sure I saw Dr. Loveless take on James West and Artemus Gordon with one of those once. It needs a monkey with a fez to run the crank! :)

Nice looking piece o' iron there!

Maybe, but there was actually a two-barrel version of the famous Gatling gun. I saw one on display at the National Firearms Museum a while back. That may have been what you saw on the Wild Wild West.

I also saw the Two Barrel Gatling Gun a few years back in Atlanta. I think it was manufactured around 1875. We also saw the Double Barrel "Athens" Cannon.

Test fired the new toy today. Disappointing.

It kept jamming.

Fails to feed and bends the bullet.

On the positive side, as far as we could tell, it was firing when we could get it to feed and load properly, and the few rounds we got off hit in the general middle of a 3'x4' placard, so the barrels aren't tracking too far off. But we couldn't keep it working long enough to do any adjustment of barrel alignment or even to know for sure if the crank-fire mechanism is going to work consistently on both sides. There's a hint the left side might not be releasing after firing. But we can't tell for sure because the damned thing always jams. Maybe it's the 25-round mags, but they came from the same folks who supplied the Gatling kit. Then again, the ammo looked to me like the bullets were longer than they ought to have been and felt waxy and sticky. Brand of the ammo was Aguila, or something like that. All I could find. I didn't think to bring the standard 10-shot rotary Ruger mags that the 10-22s came with. If I had, I could have determined whether there was a problem with the mags.

Then it came a frog-strangling rain and we had to pack it up and go home. Dangit.

22LR is wax coated. Sounds like this stuff just had too much and maybe was just too far out of spec. Was it just one or both 10/22s that jammed? Was the jam more lkle a FTE? I was all excited for you.

I'd say some odd combination of aftermarket mags and sticky ammo was to blame. You won't know for sure until you put some better ammo in the factory mags.

We had some of that Aguila Ammo several yrs. back. Nothing but trouble...They would not feed in my Marlin 60 / 190 Winchester or any of our 10/22's. They were sticking together in the box ! Also appeared to have a few that were longer than others. I just received 5 New BX 25 Mags. from Ruger and had one that kept jamming and not feeding. I took it apart and cleaned it a little and ran a file over the metal lip and it worked fine after that.

Hope you get all the bug's worked out , would love to see it in action !

I was in Dick's Sporting Goods today . They had 2 10/22 W/wood stock for $189.00 ea. I almost made the purchase so I would have the rifles ready if I did want to build The Gatling Gun. Then after the wife and I went shooting yesterday with 2-.22 pistols and 3 of our .22 rifles I don't think I can FEED another .22 at this time ! Maybe at a later date !

Should you get it up and running some video would be

I dimly recall seeing something vaguely similar with two AK-47's side by side to fire alternately, it was rigged up as a semi-auto machinegun.

Are those tactical innovations mags? If they are they have adjustment screw points at the top for feeding issues. Also try the stock mags even if there only 10 rounders just to rule mag issues out.

Hey dormin , I have a friend that I'm sure can help with any issues with your Gatling Gun. She really knows how to turn that Crank !
