Don't know why the court anywhere can tell a business how to operate. You'd think the plaintiff would not have wanted someone hostile to their beliefs photographing their wedding. Only reason for them to proceed was to see how much money they could get. Looks like all they did was enrich their attorney some.

Seems that the best way for the photographer to go about this would be to refuse service based on "schedule". "Sorry - I have another shoot that day".

Makes me sick what our country is becoming.

Curious how a "strength" requires "demands" to be met; like integration at bayonet point.

Surely something as wonderfully benevolent and not at all forced onto an unwilling populace such as multiculturalism and pluralism will spring up on their own like mushrooms after a spring rain?

If you can be forced under pain of law to perform a sevice for another person isn't that slavery?

I was under the impression we fought a very long and bloody war to put that behind us.

Why do I think the ruling would have been different if it was a Muslim photographer.

No mamabear we southerners fought and lost a long bloody war so the federal government could force this bulls*** on us.

That is part of the real story of course. But those who would force this woman to service gays at their false nuptials would also say it was all about preserving the union and slavery.

No way that stands as the implications to business would be staggering. If this makes it to the Federal courts it will be overturned.

Forcing a culture onto someone makes them generally resent the culture, and eventually find ways to undercut any benefit.

And Kinetic is correct. The SOUTH didn't ALL fight FOR slavery, some states (Virginia) didn't get involved until FEDERALISM raised it's ugly head. Lincoln is NOT a "hero" in some parts of the South, and he also REFUSED to be diplomatic about any concessions to the Southern ideals.

Hence why it's traditionally called "The War of Northern Aggression", or "The Late Unpleasantness".

I know VA did not get involved till Washington tried to force VA to supply troops. Then with the prospect of sending their sons to fight their nephew VA balked and said no way. As an aside I believe KY was not (at the start) required to send troops and thus remained in the union.

Lincoln was a freakin terroist

Something tells me we haven't heard the end of this. The part that doesn't compute for me -- won't compute -- as a Christian business owner, is that I would fold my company before being forced by the government to comply with this sort of directive. I have a feeling other like-minded business owners would feel the same way.

The real outrage to me is that the choice becomes complying with their morality, or finding a different line of work. It is the same choice being confronted by Christians in the military, by Catholic hospitals, and soon to be by Pastors.

That court is full of BS.. Whatever happened to "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone"?
