Got my Sabre Two-22 Gatling kit.............

Came in yesterday. Just a pile of nicely-machined aluminum parts and a couple of 25-round mags for a Ruger 10-22 right now - - nothing much to look at. The tripod assembly looks pretty good, though.
But I have been looking for the two Ruger 10-22 rifles that the kit uses since I ordered it. Nobody around here even had one 10-22, and for sure nobody had 2. I don't know what moved me to do it, but yesterday afternoon I picked up the phone and called Mahoney's Sportsman's Paradise in Abingdon (where I had never even been, much less bought a gun) and asked them if they had two same-finish-same-style-and-model 10-22s. They answer was yes; and I immediately took a little trip over to Abingdon. I lucked up and got two 10-22s with consecutive serial numbers; which will be kind of neat since I'm going to bolt them side by side in that Gatling kit. Price wasn't too bad, either.
Now I've started looking for some bulk .22LR ammo........
