Do you support legislation establishing the castle doctrine, the right to "stand your ground" to protect oneself and family with deadly force if necessary, as has been passed in 36 other states?

While not endorsing anyone at the moment our local news did a bit with both candidates.

Deeds was asked,

McDonnell was asked,
You’re a family man aren’t you!

Is it just me or was that a touch one sided?

I would also add a clause asking about granting legal self defense shooters immune from civil prosecution. IMO thats part of a sound castle doctrine law.

I'm not sure if the other 36 states all have an immune clause though so you may need to research or reword.

Well, its evident from the questions and votes that libs are dominating the questions. We need to get busy if we want to have any voice here.

Deeds is a lover of TAXES on everything and at anytime... Anything he is promising will be paid for..... By us, out of our pockets in the form of outragous new consumer taxes that the "good ol boy" wants to shove down our throat, He has come out and said he "Will close the Gun Show loophole" that we know doesn't exist,,, For the record ,,he was on the committee that killed the Castle Doctrine a few years back so it never saw a floor vote, Would be very interesting to see what he says now.

Do you have any idea how many people showed up in Washington at their own expense on 9/12 and do you have any idea how many could not be there on that same day? Most of all do you have a clue why we were there?

Well, I for one do not believe what the media said about the numbers. I reviewed over 500 pics and would guess there were 200-250k people there at least. My guess is at least 75% (probably more) of those were from outside the normal commuting area. As for the reason, the TEA party started in April with the stimulus. Thankfully the movement has engulfed almost every boneheaded issue coming out of DC. These bozos need to see those large numbers coming down Pennsylvania Avenue towards the Capitol. It makes them think about keeping their jobs and what they must do to accomplish that. I aint buyin it though. IMO, they can all be absolutely perfect between now and election day - but they must all go. I think there are very few anymore that can be trusted to keep their word. They get too comfortable and think we forget. This will be a battle of wills. Who can outlast who and keep the pressure on the other. My apologies for being long winded.

Never apologize when your right,,I'm a firm beleiver of kicking these buttheads every chance we get,,I've noticed how much these times parellel the sixties only this time it;s the right wing conservatives doing the protesting instead of the whiney ass liberals that somehow got elected and are now trying their best to ruin the country for good.

There are no hard numbers on the 9/12 march. What we do know is the mall area will hold 1.2 M, then there were side streets filled to max. The mall area was turned over at least 2 times maybe 3 times because buses could only stay an average of 4/5 hours, so those there had to leave and a new group came in.. Best WAG is 2+ M. By 9:30AM the mall and DC police were over whelmed. Peacefully I might add.

2 million. Wow. I heard that number but couldnt tell from the pics. I did also see several pics from overhead traffic cameras but could not confirm those were actually taken on 9/12. Of course, the libs claimed they were doctored. Now in those there were a bunch and they could probably corroborate the 2M figure.

All I can tell you is that there was at LEAST a million people there. Not all in the same place at the same time as they were constantly moving and overflowed out into the side streets as there simply wasn't any room to hold them all in the mall.

If that first pic is authentic you are indeed correct, Speedy. And my guess would be more than 1 mil. It looks to me the same as obamas inauguration that the media fawned over spouting 1.2M people.

It makes them look too bad so they have to play down the numbers. Hell, they are still denying anything ever happened! You could hear us chanting as we marched for MILES. It was the greatest/most moving single thing I have done/experienced in my life.

I thought it was ironic that Sunday morning james cargill held up the sign below and said several times "there were literally thousands of these signs there yesterday." I had just finished looking through the pics you posted, Speedy, and about 200 pics from another site. I didnt remember seeing hardly any of those signs. They were also talking on the same show that there were only about 10k people there. And a couple minutes later cargill pops back up "thousands of these signs there yesterday." I was funny and maddening at the same time.

FWIW, that first photo is NOT authentic. It does not include the National Museum of the American Indian, a building located at the corner of Fourth St. and Independence Ave. that opened on Sept. 14, 2004. (Looking at the photograph, the building should be in the upper right hand corner of the National Mall, next to the Air and Space Museum.)
