New to The Forum and to The State

I'm from California but I moved here from Washington State. Would like to meet some like minded individuals. I currently living in Newport News.
I am fairly new to the state of Virginia and just joined the forum as you can probably tell. I was wondering is there anywhere I can go where I can shoot however I want? Practice manipulating the gun, walking and shooting, and other things like that? Almost all public ranges are really restrictive in what you are allowed to do so finding a place where you can do whatever you please would be great. Please keep it legal too, thank you.

0Most public and private ranges will be restrictive on that kind of stuff anyways for legal purposes. ProShooter has good classes that I'll be signing my wife up for here in the near future. Best place to go to do whatever you want would of course be someone with a plot of land in the boonies.

Welcome, you'll love it here. Moving to this state was the best thing I ever did. Not the closest to Newport News but colonial shooting academy has a tactical range that lets you do draws from holster and stuff like that. They make you go through a "holster certification" aka scam to beat you out of money, but the range is nice and worth the hassle.
