Sign of the Times - Lady Gaga's "Gay" National Anthem

Post by allingeneral »

I couldn't believe it when I read the headline, so I had to watch her sing in the video to verify that she really "went there" with out National Anthem.

Well, I'll be damned. She really did.

Just fast forward past all the BS to about 2:40 if you have the stomach to watch her destroy our National Anthem in the name of "Gay Pride". It's all quite fitting if you ask me. But don't ask me because my head might explode.

While I do support people's rights to do who they choose, I find modification of the lyrics to our National Anthem to be in poor taste.

She is disgusting.....what she did is quite crass and crude, but she thrives on it. UGH!

What's sad is she thrives on it because of moronic hive-minds that also think that way. Let Elvis, The Beatles, or Dolly Parton do something like this.. It would have been unacceptable as a whole nation.

At least people jumped on Lil' Wayne's ass for him stomping over the stars & stripes. Pathetic wastes of "talent."

Yeah, but I'd.... Oh, nevermind. :bangin:

I sure wouldn't, she's so weird, it would give me the "limpies" even getting close.

@Coastie: Elvis, being right patriotic, I don't believe would have done such a thing; I doubt it would have even crossed his mind. I doubt that it would cross Dolly's, either.

Beatles... well, I don't know why they'd want to sing our anthem, anyway.

I actually WANT to like Lady Gaga, but she does and says too many things that bother me.

Wait!

I thought the Gays already had their National Anthem?!?

Diana Ross' "I'm Coming Out".

Or

Right-Said-Fred "I'm Too Sexy".

Heh... "Too Sexy" is on my ipod. The song is so ridiculous that I find it highly amusing.

"Raining Men" would make a good anthem for them, though, lol. Or, "I will survive"... I stumbled into a gay bar on karoke night, once, and heard some guy in a dress singing that one.

I personally enjoy the gay crowd. My wife has several gay friends and brought me to a gay club once to see her cross dressing friends. May I add, they look better as women as they do guys. SCARY. Plus, I got a couple of free drinks, so I may just go back again lmao.

I just can't stand Gaga though, she does a lot of good for the LGBT crowd don't get me wrong, but she also does heaps more just for the paparazzi. She's about as fake as they come in my books.

I'm with Coastie, I lived in Carytown (AKA "The Gay Neighborhood" in RIC) for 10 years...

The Lesbian neighbors would drag me to Babes (RIGHT! "Lipsticks" abounded, drag me, RIGHT! ), Liz would fix $5 Long Island Iced Tea's so strong, and tall, I could only have three of them before she would cut me off...

then I found out she won't a she... but didn't care. "She" was a fantastic bartender!

Then I would go to "Drag Queen Brunches" at Godfrey's with them, and Joey the bartender made some EXCELLENT drinks!

Fault them for whatever you find, but the LGBT community has some of the best bartenders I have ever seen.
