Paid my $50 at the Fairfax Co. Court House today. First time there and I think that's a huge complex for a court house, I almost got lost finding the Civil Intake Service window. Anyways, starting the count down today!

Message to Moderators.... I have a CHP issued by FFxCty via the Circuit Court (Civil Intake); don't want to "name - names" on an open board like this, but I found Ms. ************* to be ABSOLUTELY great when applying; she and I struck up a conversation about military service, trucks - and it was downright pleasure interacting with her (despite the "stories" we often hear about the application process).

I sent a note to the Judge who signed off my CHP as "thank you" to her; as she is an asset to the Court's public presence.

... anyone else here have a good interaction over on Chain Bridge Road....? Often we complain about bad service that when we get good service we (after the initial shock) forget to sometimes say "thanks".. she deserves it.

Congratulations!
When I took the course back in the spring in prep for applying for mine, the instructor to told the group "Y'all are the last men in the county to get your permit - everybody else already has one!"
He said apps were the highest they'd ever seen...

Just got mine today from the Fairfax Circuit Court!

And I wasted no time. Went to the grocery store, and then went to Sweet Rice Thai to pick up dinner. Of course, I had to do the Virginia tuck in there -- nobody noticed. And after dinner I took my son around the block for a walk.
