Unfortunately not, which is sad considering their competition is a one-legged person in an ass-kicking contest. For every step the GOP takes forward, it's quickly followed by a step (or more) backwards.

Very interesting that NBC12 opted to carry this with "Decision 2013" graphics. Nice subtle vote steering there.

Now with that out of the way...

WHISKY TANGO FOXTROT?

Here's what I just sent to Dickie Bell:

Delegate Bell,

NBC12 in Richmond carried this story this weekend:
http://thegunwire.com/blog/video-virgin ... formation/

I find it simply shocking that this would occur given the current
environment in regards to government vs privacy. If ANYONE in the
citizenry is keeping tabs on legislation and government personnel intent
on restricting the rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment, it's CHP
holders. GOP data mining of this information is beyond the pale.

The privacy of CHP holders has already been proven by vote to be sacrosanct.
This invasion of that privacy is in direct conflict with the rights that the GOP purports to champion.

Please, help protect the rights of all CHP holders and advise the state GOP that this brazen act will not be tolerated and they are to withdraw this request.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter,

It is time to start voting out the GOP establishment. We need a party that supports LIBERTY and not just Neo-Con and evangelical Christian viewpoints.

Until this changes, the country will continue swinging left. I am under 30 years old, and many people I know will NEVER vote for rebublicans because of many social issues, but are pro or at least neutral towards guns. I feel they would gravitate more towards libertarian candidates, as NO ONE I know is totally happy with what Obama's party is up to. Given a solid choice that supports the Constitution and individual liberty, we can win.

Other wise we will be stuck with the status quo until the end of our nation's history. People need to realize this is not a "right vs. left" or "liberal vs. conservative" issue anymore. It's "oppression vs. liberty", as we will be oppressed by either party as they stand today.

Seems like there will be some pressure applied, at least in Prince George County, to file suit for an injunction:

3. On Monday, if RPV does not back down I (Joseph Waymack) will file a lawsuit in Prince George Circuit Court seeking an injunction to block the release of the list and information. I encourage others to file lawsuits in their jurisdictions. If you message me, I will be happy to give you a copy of what I wrote up so you can get an idea of what to file.

As a Christian, allow me to present a Christian view point.

I tend to vote with my Christian principles in mind, the primary principle being the Christian notion of free will, which is reflected in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.

God, Himself, allows us the freedom to make our own decisions, and with that freedom, he also grants us the responsibility that comes with that, so that we may reap the rewards of our decisions. The natural balance to this, is that we must also suffer the consequences of bad decisions.

I firmly believe that the United States were formed with this principle in mind, and that the Founding Fathers sought to create an atmosphere where everyone had an equal opportunity to decide how to live their life as they saw fit, and have the freedom to either succeed or fail, depending on the outcome of each choice freely made.

This is a very Christian priciple, and I seek to conserve it. Thus, I am a Christian Conservative, and I base my vote as close to that as reasonably possible.

I meant no disrespect to Christians by my post. I understand that many of the founders were Christian and believed in those principles. However, they stopped short of establishing a state-approved religion.

My question for you SHMIV, is would you ever vote for someone who shared the same l principles of liberty, if he didn't worship your god? What if he were a pagan? Or a Muslim? Or an atheist? What if the liberal democrat opposing him on the ticket was a devout Christian, would you choose that candidate?

It's a serious question as we have many many Christians who vote liberal, and with immigrants coming in of other faiths, who will be larger and larger in number. Liberty transcends religion, from what I can tell. My mom is Christian, who goes to a church where gay couples can be married. The pastor used to be a Jew...

I hope I'm not opening a can of worms, just trying to discuss other viewpoints.

Contacted the Clerks office in Fauquier County about this. They emailed me back stating if they do get any requests like this they will not provide the info. I'll edit the email into this post when I get home tonight.

I am a Christian as well. I am with SHMIV on this one.

Now would I vote for someone who was not exactly like me......that depends.....it depends on where he stands on the issues. Is he respectful of religion or is he looking to destroy my right to practice my religion. As for the liberal "devout Christian" I don't care how much a person swears they love Jesus....if they are willing to permit children to be torn apart limb from limb (which is what abortion does), I will not vote for them.

I have no problem with non believers acting like non-believers. Sinners will be sinners and there is nothing they or you can do to stop it. So if the state wants to give legal status to homosexual unions.....whatever.....just leave me, my family, and my church out of it. I have a big problem with Christan's acting like the world. I would not be a part of a church that married homosexuals. End of story. Those that love Liberty should be fine with my stance as it is my church's liberty to decide who they will marry and who they will not.
