DANVILLE, Va. — A man was arrested Wednesday after police say he robbed a charity thrift store.

Rickey Dale Farmer Jr., 25, was charged with armed robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, wearing a mask in a public place, petite larceny and brandishing a firearm.

Police say Farmer went to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore on Hughes Street about 1:15 p.m. Armed with a gun, he walked into the office, demanded money from the employees and robbed them, police said.

I carry everywhere. At the ROC thrift store on Washington st. in Petersburg last weekend, a guy came at me from behind witha spiked club and said he was getting "his paycheck right now!" He was about 15' away and stopped when I set myself for the draw and said "No, I'll pop you. Drop it." My hand was under my shirttail and on the butt of my 26 when I said it.
He later chased somebody into traffic after retrieving the club. I got pix of that and posted them elsewhere.
Pix are too large to post here.
