Any other phone geeks out there. I was able to get the new S4 this past weekend on Verizon. Wow. Its is so fast, light and slim. I thought my old Bionic was the bees knees but this thing is superb. I bought two. One for me in black and one for the misses in white. Iphone kiss your a$$ good bye.

Ps. I hate apple and apple products.

If you have been waiting for a new phone wait no longer.

I have no affiliation with either VZ or Samsung.

I'm thinking about moving from my trusty S3 to the S4, but the S4 is kind of big for my taste. It is a nice phone though.

It is slightly bigger but it is very thin and feels good in the hand.

I hear that the S4 has the HDMI port. Any truth to that?

I believe that you need the Smart Dock to get a HDMI port on a S4.

My S3 Charge has a HDMI port on the phone

It does not have a HDMI port on the phone it self.

I had to do a Yahoo search to find out what "S4" meant. Looks like it is a Samsung phone with the Droid OS, huh?

I had a Droid phone once. I picked the one that had a keyboard because I was used to a Blackberry (or rather, I agreed with my IT guy that was a good idea). That particular Droid was the crummiest smartphone I ever had with the exception of the first Treo that came out. It did a lot of not-phone stuff (not well, buy it did them), but it wasn't a very good phone. I could usually get about 2/3rds as much signal in a given place as most cheap phones. But I have since been told that particular model was the worst Droid on record. Still, it leaves me a little bit leery of Droids. That said, my current phone, an i-phone 5, is a good phone with a few maddeningly irritating features.

But I am intrigued. What is so wonderful about this S4 doohickey?

Dormin, your Droid sounds much like mine, and I picked mine for the real keys, too. I hate this phone.

But, this phone just doesn't have the memory or processing abilities required to fully utilize the Android platform.

I am anxious to upgrade to a Galaxy, if I can find one for Boost Mobile.

Not sure, but it seems to me like it might have been a "Droid Pro". Damned thing used to freeze 2-3 times a week and I'd have to drop the battery out and cold boot it, so it does seem likely it was memory- or processor-bound. Whatever the problem was, I did resolve that I wouldn't hit a dog in the ass with a Droid.
