Private Sales

Hi everyone. I just wanted to confirm that the laws regarding private sales of firearms in Virginia haven't changed since all of the new political nonsense we've seen over the past few months. Is it still pretty much anything goes in regards to private sales? I was thinking about selling a firearm to a buddy of mine since he was looking for one and nothing is available online, in the gun stores, etc. Thanks y'all.

No changes in VA law regarding private sales between residents.
Although it's not a requirement, you can use a form like the attached bill of sale for CYA.

Im thinking of selling a gun. I wont need to report the gun sold or anything? Like when you sell a car and have to report to the dmv?

You do not have to report the sale.
