"By removing themselves from a key Obamacare component, lawmakers and aides would be held to a different standard than the people who put them in office."

We shouldn't be surprised by this at all. These people understand all too well what this law means and what the effects on their overall health care will be. They seem to have a stronger sense of entitlement than people on public assistance, although some might say the idiots in Congress ARE on public assistance.

All animals are created equal, but pigs are more equal. We have seen this coming for generations. Lawmakers considered themselves royalty and believe they should have special rights, which they have granted themselves. Its turning into the aristocrats vs. the commoners.

AARP was pimping Obamacare night and day until it became the law of the land. At which time they promptly filed for and was granted an exception.

They'd better be careful because Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette both lost their heads holding themselves to the same standards! It seems to me it's not very safe to think yourselves better than the people you wish to govern.
