Virginia man gets seven years in prison for stealing Obama’s teleprompter
President Obama’s teleprompter may be more valuable than even his biggest critics claim. After all, a man who stole Obama’s teleprompter was sentenced to seven years in federal prison.
"The theft of government property is a serious offense," Assistant U.S. Attorney Roderick Young said during Virginia resident Eric Brown’s sentencing hearing. "It's all the more serious when the property belongs to the White House Communications Agency."

Well it's obvious this guy is a P.O.S. and IMHO should have been put away for life as a 3 time loser. No matter who he stole from....
He should have gotten more time....

Yeah, it was a van full of government property. Send him away for good. Just because it was Obama's stuff doesn't make the crime okay.

Seven years? It's not like Armed robbery. Maybe he needed to feed his family. He could have traded it in for a voucher. Isn't this guy, the type of person Obama is TRYING to support?

Read the whole article. It wasn't just a TelePrompTer. It was van full of government stuff including computers that he tried to sell. 7 years for potentially giving up classified info seems okay by me.

Hell of a thing to go to jail for, even if he does deserve it.
