Economic Impact - Beretta Leaves MD

Found this via my car club web site.

Looks like the elected officials in MD not only don't care about our 2nd Amendment rights, they could care less about the economic impact as well, seeing as in how the ban went through.

2 paperwork errors and someone is going to prison for 3 years? Really? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot MD politicians? Get your heads out of your butts!

MD is a welfare state; jobs are irrelevant.

They've got a full blown casino now so they feel rich!

Problem is, as MD kills its jobs base, people move to VA looking for some respite. I just hope that those who migrate here are conservatives. Northern VA has enough northeastern liberal transplants already.

400 jobs lost. Good job, Maryland!

I know that Beretta moved their warehouses over to VA several years ago in response to legislation in MD. Can anyone confirm that their manufacturing operations will also be located in VA? Or has that not been announced?

Swaths of upstate NY have a similar economic model.

Welfare->casino->taxes->welfare->casino->taxes in an endless loop.

When the pot gets small from skimming and expenses more money comes from Albany.

As for Berettas new digs, I think they're keeping it close to the vest. Probably depends on friendliness of local climate and incentives.

There have been no announcements of where they will move to. I would assume that given they already put part of their operation in VA, that short of VA doing something asinine to chase them off, our state just seems like the next logical move.

This state is teetering on the brink. I'm not holding my breath on them moving here. That still assumes they're moving. Time will tell.
