NIce! That's going to make a big BANG.

I don't think the DE is a waste though. Remember the Israelis developed it to shoot through doors/walls without requiring a shotgun or another rifle. It's a big, heavy handgun, but there are practical purposes besides giving them to new shooters to see what happens (which is stupid). I've thought of getting one in .44Mag for handgun hunting. .44Mag revolvers are popular for hunting, why not a .44Mag semi-auto? Personally, I like the grip much better than a revolvers.

50BMG handgun has been done before. And done is a prettier way.

As far as a Des. Eagle in 44mag. I have one. It is fun to take to the range, but it is probably not the best hunting gun out there. It is heavy, like why did I bring this thing with me on this hike heavy. The grip is ok for my big hands, but something like the S&W 460 is much easier to shoot well.

I've got a DE in .50AE. I'm not sorry I've got it, but frankly, I view it as of little or no practical use beyond just to take to the range for the sh!ts and the giggles. And I just can't imagine firing a .50BMG handgun. A .50BMG rifle is tough enough. I can't dstand to shoot a Bushmaster BA50 without foam plugs AND the earmuff type ear protection. Guess I'm getting soft in my old age.
