Watch the video (if you have the stomach for it) and see how many gun safety rules this clueless doofus violates. Nice job Bloomy!

Also, Emily Miller at the Washington Times gives him a good drubbing over it too.

The sad thing is, no one who will be swayed by this ad is going to know enough to notice these glaring errors. All they'll see is the stereotypical gun owner supporting Bloomburg.

The NRA needs a counter-ad that points out the safety violations and refutes the points made in this ad.

To be honest, no safety rules are broken.

The gun is clearly(to me) pointed clear away from anyone including the kids.

His finger is not on the trigger, its around the trigger guard. That's not ideal but its not a direct violation.

And as a viewer you have no reason to believe that the gun is loaded and I never did like that rule anyway since we all keep loaded guns for self defense.

I'll be the first one to admit it that ad it done really well. If you didn't know any better you would certainly want universal background checks. As a person who did more than watch a MIAG ad I know better of course.

Complete with liberal gun owner stereotypes: "hunter" check, flannel shirt check, camo hat check, pickup truck check.

And this two ads also pretty slickly incorporated the progressive fiction the the Second Amendment is about hunting. Once you let them define the grounds of the argument, they've gone a long way toward winning it.
