Great video.
I think that the people who matter (the rich, the powerful, their pawns in elected office) are completely in possession of this knowledge. I think that you make the mistake of not realizing that they DO NOT CARE. Or put more accurately, they care MOAR about their interests than the very lives of our children or your concerns, wishes and rights as an American citizen.
The vast swaths of dipsheep, unionized teachtards, reflexive Demonrat party ballot punchers are, as u said, ignorant as to how violent acts are planned, carried out and the reasons why or how to stop them. Sadly, these fools are the needed fuel and sustaining life blood for the crap bags described above to wield their control.
Wow. A good night's sleep really cleared up my mind. That was a good rant.

Fear is an emotional response, not a rational one. Non-rational fear generally distorts people perceptions of the risk. This is why some people are afraid to fly, but have no problem barrelling down the highway while talking/texting, blasting music, etc. Statistically, flying is much safer, but their fear tells them otherwise. The same is going on here. They worry about the potential side affects of shooting back while ignoring the fact that the teacher/etc. is only firing back because a mass murderer is trying to kill their child. A teacher could miss and hit a child, but the mass murderer probably won't. Additionally, they have a grossly invalid understanding of children and firearm accidents. They're convinced that the mere presence of a firearm means their child is going to get shot with it accidentally. This is because the media sensationalizes gun accidents while ignoring children who drown in pools.

Time Magazine did a one-sided article on fight/flight, training, innocent bystanders, etc. and concluded that civilians are not up to the task of protecting children in schools. A lot of people accept their reporting as gospel and read/ believe no further.

The last one I saw they took a variety of people, experienced to non-experienced, but practically based the entire report and conclusions on the one guy who had never seen a firearm before. Of course they only gave him the least amount of training by law, so the results are predictable. He couldn't even get the firearm out of the holster because he just grabbed for it and never bothered to pull away the concealing garment.
Based on his comments, he might as well have been a plant. The dude didn't take the training seriously, wasn't aware of his surroundings and definitely did not have the self-relieance mindset. You knew he would fail before they ever ran the test. Firearms are tools, not magic wands.
Not real reporting, just more propaganda.

Yes, the piece I read took one police person, listed all his training, and then described his flight from a gunfight and took that as proof that a civilian could fare no better.
