I'm a retired network engineer. Dad was a hunter and taught me to shoot rifles and shotguns pretty well. Then I lost vision in my right eye in the Air Force and never learned to shoot left handed so I didn't own a gun for about ten years. Got into handguns when one of my daughters got involved with a real, psychotic-type stalker. Then we raised some of our grandkids and didn't want guns in the house. But we had a very protective Airedale. I sold a 9mm and a .32 to a State Trooper and traded a .357 for a table saw. Now the grandkids are teenagers and the dog passed away so my wife decided she wants to learn to shoot. We recently bought a semi-auto .380 and a .32 revolver so she could learn both kinds of pistols. Looks like I may have to take up reloading to get ammo in those less common calibers.
