Well... remember that it is also referred to as the CONGRESSIONAL Medal of Honor. It is awarded by the President in the name of Congress to the recipient or in the event of posthumous award, to the next of kin.

Given that it is awarded by Congress and presented by the POTUS, I can see the some sense in at least having the Congressional reps from the recipient's state up front at a presentation, as it is they that are actually bestowing this token of thanks for acts and gallantry far above and beyond
the call of duty.

The last two Democrat Presidents have both been traitors to our country. BJ Clinton gave the Chinese sensitive missile guidance systems in exchange for campaign contributions. Zero, well his crimes will some day be revealed in full. Neither will pay for what he has done.

Perhaps not overtly. But I am sure that all that sowing of the wind will eventually lead to the reaping of the whirlwind. Either in this life or the next.

I must add that while the medal was created by an act of Congress during the civil war, the original and still official name is "Medal of Honor", not "Congressional Medal of Honor". Nearly all MOH awards are made via the chain of command, although it is possible for one to be awarded by an act of Congress. Sgt. Giunta's MOH was awarded via the chain of command. So Zero's putting a bunch of Demtards in the front row has no excuse or rationalization whatsoever.

Army - 10 U.S.C. § 3741
Navy and Marine Corps - 10 U.S.C. § 6241
Air Force - 10 U.S.C. § 8741
Coast Guard - 14 U.S.C. § 491 (a version authorized but never awarded)[34]

Regardless of who decided this award should be made, the recipient and his family should be in the front row, period, end of discussion. The families of the deceased should also be in the front row. This isn't about who awarded the medal, the chain of command, or anything else. This is about the selfless act of bravery and heroism that led to the consideration that this award should be made. This isn't about the congressional slobs, morons, and absolute idiots who were in attendence. No amount of palathering can justify how this momentous occasion was bastardized by the scumbags who have been, and continue to be, elected by a stupid, apathetic, and moronic electorate. I fail to see how any justification can overshadow the absolute disrespect this commander in chief shows for the people who have sacrificed to allow him to rise to the highest office in the land.

Glad to hear it. Sometimes I get a little carried away, and sometimes I am called on it. Such is life. I figured we'd be in agreement, mostly. The weeds tend to be where disagreements arise. At any rate, its all good!

I believe in the law of averages...my money is on him being ousted before this second term is up. There is just too much going on for him to escape them all. Note that I said ousted and not impeached. You cannot impeach someone who is not eligible. Hoping my prayers are answered!

The sad part is, I can easily imsgine scenarios where either of those outcomes are probable.

USCG has awarded only 1 MOH posthumously to Douglas Munro for his actions in Guadacanal helping out Marines. Long time ago, but was awarded.

Just another thought...if he is impeached, everything he has enacted stands; if he found ineligible...all bets are off. Everyone is afraid Biden would ascend to the presidency but I think the election would be null and void and new elections required. Maybe someone smarter than I can verify this.

Has always upset me that the Coasties never get their due! Was involved with the VFW for many years and you would be surprised how many people think there are only four services. I commend you for your service and the service of all Coasties!
