A friend linked this to me. Good to see some in government with common sense.

Good article and I think the man has the right idea. In my opinion, a doctor doesn't need to know what I own or don't own.

It is a highly manipulative move. Do you value your or the health of a loved one more than your second amendment rights?
I know my family doctor well- we go to church together, to Haiti together (medical mission trips), etc. He hasn't and won't ask about firearms.

I'd like to hope that "blackmarket doctors" will tend to those who won't kowtow to the jackbooted thugs of repression.

But I hold little hope for anything these days.

It's like the scene in "Red Dawn" (original) with the catwalk having a "government representative" looking at the wolverines.

I guess I was looking at this from the perspective that all my kids are grown and have families of their own and I am on my own. That being said, if it came down to health care for my kids and/or grand children, then I may react differently. But until that time comes, I don't have to tell my doctor what possessions I may or may not have.

These invasions of privacy will not be confined to the doctor's office, you will also be subjected at at labs and imaging facilities. Further, the questions will be asked in an electronic format that does not permit skipping the question.
