Anyone who visits multiple gun forums these days may have seen that Remington is considering moving out of NY to a more gun/2nd amendment friendly state. Magpul is moving from Colorado. Other companies are considering moving.
Last night I e-mailed Randy Forbes and asked him to consider working, along with his fellow legislators, to convince some of the gun/gun accessory manufacturers to move their operations to Virginia.
We (Virginiians) constantly talk about how industry friendly VA is so why not get some more industry moved here if we can.
Please consider writing your congressmen/women and let's see if we can put a good idea in their heads.

Well, got a response from Mr. Forbes. I've also e-mailed my state representatives, M. Kirkland Cox and Stephen H. Martin. Anyone else??

As you noted in your email, a number of states including Colorado, Missouri and New York have recently introduced or enacted new gun control legislation. As a result of this legislation, firearms manufactures have expressed interest in relocating their operations from states with highly restrictive laws.
One company that has publically stated that they are exploring their options should restrictive state laws be enacted is Magpul Industries Corp., based in Erie, Colorado. Since firearms manufacturers have raised concerns about impending state legislation, Texas Governor Rick Perry and Mississippi House Speaker Philip Gunn have publicly invited these companies to relocate in their states.
I hope you will take the time share your interest in these companies relocating in Virginia with Governor Bob McDonnell and contact your state representatives in the Virginia General Assembly. Just don't reccomend James City County. County taxes there are ridiculous, from what I've gathered. York County, on the other hand, I've heard is reasonable.

Hey i hope i'm in the right thread but i'm trying to get another petition going on the we the people site since there is ONLY pro gun control petitions that are still ACTIVE on there. i have to get 150 signatures before they will allow my GUN RIGHTS one to be publicly displayed.

that is the link for it if you guys want to sign it great if not i have no beef with that just hopeing to at least get something for GUN RIGHTS back on the website. especially since last night hearing some B.S. on the news again that 90% of americans polled are for stricter gun control. appehrently they aren't polling to many folks and are doctoring up everything they can. I personally can't wait till some of these jokers are forced to admit defeat on this subject.
