NFA Trust - Silent Winter Give Away Update

Howdy folks,

Quick update, I GOT MY TRUST TODAY!!!!   Big thanks to VGOF and ofcouse Arsenal Attorneys    . I can not say enough about the level of profesionalism and customer service, ESPECIALLY considering that I am a non-paying client in a time when they probably have more demand for trusts than they have time to complete them.

This was not a "fill in a form and I'll send you a document" process. I had a telephone consultation, my personal needs and desires of the trust were reviewed in depth, I was given expert counsel on multiple points/issues I had not considered and ultimately felt like I was working with a profesional who not only understands and supports my right and my children's rights but knows and actively wants to defend them against what may come sooner or later.

Added bonus and total surprise was that Arsenal Attorneys is working on and has completed a Perpetual Trust, and I quote Matthew Berstrom of Arsenal Attorneys:

"Basically, your Arsenal Gun Trust will still be completely under your and your wife's control to do as you please. Then at your death or incapacitation, the trust becomes irrevocable. Future people in the trust must follow your wishes, but your successor trustee will be able to nominate future people to the trust, who in turn may name people in the trust to succeed them. The trust can therefore be perpetual. Your descendants will not need to create a new trust to handle and own your firearms. Also, by maintaining the same ownership (the trust), there may be a possibility to avoid later restrictions or taxes that are placed on transfer or inheritance. Because the same ownership continues, there would be no transfer or inheritance even thought the people in the trust would change over time. This is a big difference compared to our standard solution."

Tommorow I will be making the call to Luis at Sterling Arsenal to schedule a time to do the paperwork on the .30 caliber suppressor they have generously given me as the contest winner and while we are it we will be also applying for a stamp for the SBR in 300 BLK that they will be building for me as well as the .22lr can I will be purchasing!!!! Christmas in February!!!!

I am a very lucky, happy and greatful guy...now i Just need to figure out how to pass the next 6, 8, 10 12 months while I wait for the stamps to come in.

Thanks again to VGOF, Arsenal Attorneys and Sterling Arsenal from one VERY grateful and VERY happy member!

Another quick update. I spent a few hours at Sterling Arsenal with Luis. Paperwork is done! Went over my build, purchased a 22lr can and submitted the paperwork for the .30 can that will be going on the 300BLK SBR they will be building in the hopefully not to distant future when the stamps come in!

Great shop, great guys! As soon as I get to a PC I will post the picture of my receiver and cans!

***UPDATE***

So I stopped by Sterling Arsenal today to drop off my Ruger 10/22 bull barrel in preparation for the day when my tax stamps come in.

If you have not been by there you are missing out, GREAT showroom and group of guys.

Luis is awesome, have not been by in a long time, he remembered my name and took the time to show me the new items they have in as well as my 2 suppressors. We chatted about all the work they are doing on their rifles and suppressor development/production.

Just when a good trip to the gun store can't get any better Luis asked me if I have shot a suppressed 300 BLK rifle. Next thing I know we are in the back of the shop and I am getting ready to shoot. I was shaking like a little kid from the excitement! Put a bunch of rounds through the rifle WITH NO EAR PROTECTION, absolutely amazing rifle, trigger was superb, almost no recoil, great groupings and QUIET!

Yes I am a suppressor noob and still on cloud nine from winning the contest so sorry if most of you find my post silly. But I can't help sharing with everyone what a great experience this is EVEN while waiting MONTHS on the NFA. So VGOF and Sterling Arsenal, THANK YOU!!!

Hopefully my next post will be a picture of the tax stamps, my SBR and Suppresors.

And yes there will be a meet and greet shoot at SEG or on some private land in Front Royal!

Thanks for the update! Sounds like a great day at the gun shop! I've enjoyed talking to the folks at Sterling Arsenal, also. They're a good group of guys. I haven't been in their showroom for several months. Last time I was there, they were in the process of reworking the layout. It was looking good then, I would imagine it's pretty sweet by now.

Looking forward to the meet and greet!

As promised here is another update. 10 months later all three of my stamps came in. Barrel is getting threaded on the 300 BLK that sterling Arsenal donated the upper and .30 cal can for. Went ahead and bought a .22 can. Rifle should be ready week after next so I I'll post pics and let everyone know I head to SEG to break her in!

Thanks again to VGOF and sterling arsenal it's been the longest contest of my life but WELL worth the wait.
