I couldn't make Decembers show, those that went I am guessing price gouging is still ongoing? I plan on heading up either this Friday afternoon or Sunday. Looking for 9,40 and 45 ammo and maybe an AR if the price is decent.

My game plan is to be there on Friday to stock up on ammo, but then on Saturday walk through the vendors looking for a new Glock 17 standard, not a 4th Gen for a decent price. I just wonder if all the vendors will be set before the doors open at 3pm on Friday. Any thoughts on this folks?

I might go to get some ammo. Maybe, just maybe, a particular Browning Buck Mark 22LR pistol, but I think I'll have to wait on that. But I might just bail. I was there in November and December, and the latter was a zoo. Parking was the main thing in December. Once inside it was packed, but not too crazy.

I'm hoping to get in on Friday so I can sell my FN-49 and pick up reloading supplies. If I can sell the FN, I'm looking for either a 10mm 1911 or a Glock 23.

I will be looking to stock up on some reloading powder if there is any Vargent left out there.

Is it realistic to think that all the vendors will be set up and organized for business by the time it is supposed to open up today at 3pm?

Yes, most vendors are hot to sell their wares, and get the hell out. I know at the Showplace show last month one vendor sold everything he'd brought by Saturday at 15:00, and just left...

I am going to go Sunday around 11, now it's just ammo I am after. Maybe a 1911 if any are left.

If it is like the gunshow at Ricmond last month, good luck finding ammo. What they did have was around twice the price of the ammo i purchased in November.

So you're saying it was well worth the trip and admission cost? How was the jerkey?

My wife and I just left the show. What a pointless attempt at ammo or finding a Glock 17. The ammo was 2-3x the price you can get it for at Walmart, and they are raping customers there. They also changed the price of admission on Wednesday for a 1-day pass from $12 to $13 and a 3-day went from $18 to $20. The crowds tonight were unbelievable, and good luck finding 9mm ammo anywhere in bulk. I found one dealer on the far left wall that was decent pricing on 9mm for UMC & Federal for $250 or a case and $500 for 1k rounds of the Federal 9mm. The entire gun show was littered with M-16 parts dealers and M-16 gear, parts, mods, etc. The selection on Glocks were very limited except for the long slide models in 40, 45, and 10mm. I did not see one new 9mm Glock, and I was shocked.
So we drove to two Walmarts this evening after the show and bought 12 boxes of 100 round Winchester 45 for $40 a box. The best price I saw tonight on the same product was $58 a box. Lots of 22lr available tonight as well, but bricks of 22lr were going for $69-$80. Amazing. Sorry for rambling, but I wanted to get everything down on here that I could still remember.

Thanks for the update Tanner. I will still head out Sunday but I am not liking the sound of it.

Yep! Why I was happy with my finding a brick at Wal-mart for $15... People are going to BB GUNS now for practicing! I'm watching people who cannot get .22LR, turning around, buying a BB Gun, and ammo.
Now the children suffer even more... the squirrels laugh at us... Adults weep for the loss of cheap ammo.

I just went to walmart again this morning and loaded up on more 9mm and 45 and 22mag. Screw buying ammo at the gun shows. If anyone sees a NIB Glock 17 standard not the Gen 4 at the gun show let me know, and I will come up and get it. I scoured the tables last night but never saw one.
