It's a start.Charlottesville, Va., has become the first city in the United States to formally pass an anti-drone resolution.
The resolution, passed Monday, "calls on the United States Congress and the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia to adopt legislation prohibiting information obtained from the domestic use of drones from being introduced into a Federal or State court," and "pledges to abstain from similar uses with city-owned, leased, or borrowed drones."

I'm presuming by "drone", they don't mean politicians....

Of course local and state regulations aren't written to allow usage for Search and Rescue (SAR) operations. UAVs could be a major asset to look for lost hikers, disabled watercraft, cars off enbankments in mountainous areas, etc.
While I don't relish the idea of Big Brother watching all, there are legitimate uses for this technology.
Personally I think there's nothing but drones on C'villes city council. Guess they'll have to leave town now.
