A few AR pics

New here and figured I would share a few pics of my 2 AR15 rifles with a run down of the parts in case anyone was curious. I had a 3rd, a 20" M16 style rifle, but sold it recently. The money it brought was just too tempting. I have plans of picking up another rifle once the price calms down a bit. I am looking at getting a Colt 6920 to keep as a backup rifle.

The first one is my current go to rifle. This has about 5000 rounds through it now and has been through 2 carbine classes and a few silhouette shoots as well as taken a few wild pigs when I was in California this past summer. Specs are:

Upper: BCM mid length 16" upper, BCM BCG, BCM charging handle, Centurion C4 rail, KAC 200-600 meter micro sight, KAC hand stop.

Lower: Stag stripped lower, Colt lower parts kit, BCM receiver extension, Noveske QD end plate, Magpul trigger guard, BCM mod 1 grip, B5 SOPMOD stock.

Accessories: Aimpoint PRO, Surefire M600C Scout weapon light with SR07 pressure switch.

The second rifle is my new lightweight project and it only has about 200 rounds through it so far. My goal for this rifle is to keep it under 7 pounds with an Aimpoint and a Surefire Mini Scout weapon light. It is complete, minus the 2 moa Aimpoint T1. Specs are:

Upper: BCM mid length 16" lightweight, BCM BCG, BCM charging handle, KAC URX III rail, KAC 200-600 meter micro sight, KAC panel kit with hand stop, Battlecomp 1.0.

Lower: Stag stripped lower, Colt lower parts kit minus the FCG, Geissele Super Dynamic Combat trigger (Amazing!), BCM receiver extension, Noveske QD end plate, Magpul trigger guard, BCM mod 1 grip, Magpul MOE stock.

Accessories: I have a Surefire M300A Mini Scout in a Haley Strategic Thorntail mount with SR07 pressure switch, and a Daniel Defense T1 mount for it, all I'm missing is the T1 2 moa. That will have to wait a few weeks.

Thanks, most of the time I am shooting steel or running drills. The only time I shoot from a bench for groups is when I zero a rifle.

Thanks! Yes I built them both myself, however Robb at VA Arms Co. did the Knights Armament rail install. I don't own the special wrench needed for the barrel nut.

Those look very scary, indeed. I hope they never jump out and assault anyone!

Nice job! :lovegunporn:

+1

These aren't target guns. Once you can hold ~2MOA (about what the military requires with their "surplus" ammo), speed matters more.

Completely understand, but unless a video is posted, how can I live vicariously through this topic? i figured some targets might have been handy to photograph.

Thanks!

Ordered the Aimpoint this evening. Went with the H1 vs the T1 as I seriously doubt I will need night vision capability with this, ever. Saved me a few bucks. Still went with the 2 moa version.

New pics of the lightweight rifle and an accurate weight coming soon.
