Doesn't it seem strange following all of the horrific tragedies that have occured, the gun makesr and ammo sellers are raising their prices thru the roof, that is if you can find them, here in Md, you cant even find .22 Long rifle ammo, What has this world come to?

IMO, the market is broken. Our leadership was extremely irresponsible in mentioning a ban after those horrible events. Panic (justified? look at ny and others) set in and the whole supply chain was emptied, prices spiked, small gun shops have rent to pay but questionable product delivery schedules/prices, etc. The progressives did a lot of damage and turned an entire industry from arms themselves, accessories, ammunition, reloading...

I wonder if we'll hear the casualty report for the people that were harmed by the mere mention of one phrase.

Though I suspect the economics of the reaction demonstrates a level of distrust in the leadership and belief in the Constitution.

You can find ammo, you just have to be patient and look really hard.
I just got 500 rounds of .40 in the mail yesterday.

I don't know if the gun manufacturers are raising prices much - although they could. Most of the crazy prices I have seen are in the secondary market, such as Gunbroker and the classified sites.

My local shop was upset because the ammo manufacturers (and others) were raising prices on them - to the point that they said they've been selling some stuff below cost just to keep their customers happy.

The "hurt" seems to be more on 9mm ,5.56 and .22 LR. I've seen some types of 40 available when shelves are otherwise empty for other calibres

Maybe we should look at AllInGeneral for some insight. Rick, it looks like ammo on AIG is pretty picked over for 22, .223/5.56, 30-30, .308, .45 acp, etc. Any idea about the supply chain? What's the rumor mill saying as a vendor?

If anyone out there thinks this will end soon...consider the effects once the government shuts down. 22 days over the next six months - - - equals all employees and support to the Federals will loose 30% of their monthly pay.....how will people react?????????....best stock up and clean your rifles and back a bug out bag.

Just saying. :tinfoil:
