Is it legal to laminate my concealed carry permit?

I laminated mine. I figgered laminated and legible was better than a sweaty piece of illegibility!

Don't know whether it's legal or not, but what's provided just isn't durable enough for my work environment.

The Clerks office here in Waynesboro offered to laminate ours if we bring them by after we get them.
I guess for the full $50 I'd expect white glove treatment. LOL

Here in Henrico County (Richmond, VA) our CHP is printed on ordinary copier weight paper. Asked the clerk why they are not on a card stock and she replied "due to cost". Then I asked her if it was okay to have it lamented she replied "that's up to you". You would think that they would put a little more thought in she design of an official state document/license.

Loudoun CHP is slightly larger than a credit card.. Real PITA since it won't fit in the slots of the wallet.. Laminate adds a bit more to it.. I could trim it on the right side to match the standard wallet size but don't want to have an over zealous type accuse me of modifying the permit without my counsel present..

Ours arrived today, the accompanying cover letter again offered lamination if we drop by the Clerks office.

Smyth County laminates the permit for you. I lived in Washington County until about 14 years ago, at that time they laminated also.

I used clear packing tape to do mine after practicing on a business card. Works great!

Yup. They do recommend laminating for longevity. They don't want additional applications for replacements.

+1 on the lamination. That's the 1st thing I did once I received mine.
