Senator Dianne Feinstein said Majority Leader Harry Reid has promised that even if the assault weapons ban is left out of a broader package intended to curb gun violence, she will have the opportunity to offer it as an amendment on the Senate floor.

Harry must know the bill doesn't stand a chance, this way he can play both sides. He keeps his NRA status and can tell the libs that he did everything he could. (I hope)

This reminds me of the saying the Rabbi told me once when I asked him about the prayers that are unanswered.

This is the problem with our govt and why if we fall into destruction it will be for this cause. When faced with the choice of tending to the nations business or petting their own egos and doing their pet projects like little children congress chose the latter.

Congress and Senate will do whatever it takes not to do their real jobs. I was saying this same thing back in December shortly after the cries of "take their guns" started coming out of their mouths.
And honestly, when is "Frankenstein" just going to drop dead? That old woman looks like she's on her last leg as it is.
