Real nasty weather out here in the hills.

Started out with freezing rain. After it laid down about 1/8” of hard ice, it started snowing little hard balls of ice that almost but not quite freezes together when it hits. Got about ¾” of that on top of the ice. Supposed to get 2-4” of snow on top of that. It was something like 11 degrees this morning and it’s 24 degrees right now. Tain’t a fit day out for man nor beast. Even FedEx just called and said they weren’t sending any trucks out. Only way it could get any worse would be if it was to cloud up and sh!t.

That damned groundhog better watch his @ss next week.

Not yet. But if that SOB don't get a sunburn on Feb 2 he's buzzard meat.

And .... by the way ...... I seem to remember YOU were the one who was in a big damn hurry to eat a groundhog. I was the one who was trying to teach you better.

Looks like we might get a wee bit of the white stuff down here in the flatlands. That will make all the towing companies and body shops happy

uh-huh. Happy towing companies and body shops is the best we can hope for around here. Since you frequently either hit the mountain or slide off the edge of the mountain when you slide off the road around here, and since Obama hasn't quite parked all the 80,000# coal trucks yet, occasionally it's the undertakers that get cheered up when it gets too slick in these parts. Nothing against undertakers, you understand, but I hope they have slim pickin's this time.

look like it's done here in the middle - it's a dang geographical oddity, I tell you, snow is always two weeks from here... :?

We have a Lake Anna Vortex around here. Nuclear power sucks precipitation into another reality. The cold seems to be unaffected...probably only because cold is just an absence of heat.

Been coming down hard for almost two hours now. Traffic is insane everywhere.

Be careful out there.

And now I'm seeing snow, too. And in Nevada. I didn't know it snowed in this state.
