The anti-gunners keep saying "We need compromise", but they're not compromising ANYTHING to the Pro-gun side… they just want the PRO-GUN SIDE to compromise.
I told one Anti-gunner "Okay, compromise, right? You get universal background checks on all purchases, but we get Suppressors, and sawed off shotguns off the NFA (National Firearms Act of 1927) list, and just purchase them like regular items."
Once I said that, they said "NO! THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!"
Uh-huh…
Not that I agree with Universal Background checks, but it was telling to see how they have NO desire to give ANYTHING! Buncha asshats.

Completely agree. It turns my stomach when someone says "reasonable" or "common sense" gun laws or paternally says "no one needs...". I can give a huge list of "no one needs" to folks like Cuomo, Feinstein, Schumer, et. al. My list would be much more legitimate, too, given it wouldn't even touch on thing specifically mentioned in the Bill of Rights.

Y'all just don't understand the art of compromise. You just have to truly appreciate the opposing viewpoint. That allows you to adapt an enlightened approach in the same way as the other side. I'm a sensitve, broad-minded guy. I can do that.
I'll smile winningly and offer to compromise thusly:
You gun-adverse folks give up your unconstitutional demands for background checks, AWBs, high-capacity magazine bans, registration, and ammunition control; and we who support the Second Amendment will agree that the general public has no sporting purpose for tactical nukes larger than half a megaton.
See there? That wasn't so hard, was it?

I wonder if the antis would be okay amending the 4th a little more... I mean TECHNICALLY you are leasing land of the U.S. and not a sole owner. You are living on U.S. oil, not Mr. John Doe territory. Therefore, any searches on "your" property is a search of Gov't property, ergo - legal at any time day/night and without warrant.
Makes sense to me. Just like all these "technicalities" they seem to be catching out of thin air.
Then they can come in my home, pillage us all since I can only have x amount of rounds in my gun, my shipment of ammo didn't come in cuz I'm blacklisted, the caliber used is only limited to pellet gun and the pellets must be loaded one at a time in 5 minute intervals. All because they thought the Bill of Rights had Technicalities and needed to be updated.
My old man was right... Now is such a sad time to be living in. Politicians are running the nation because the citizens have been castrated. Now they're coming for the one thing tougher than balls and that's guns. Next it'll be our guts in the form of 1st Amendment.
Sorry for the rant... I've never been so sick and tired of being sick and tired. I'll continue being this way though until they give US the PEOPLE what WE want.

I seriously doubt that's true, for you or for most of us. Our compliance with anything beyond what the 2A states is already compromise. Jumping through hoops for a tax stamp is a compromise. BG checks are a compromise. The problem is that in our efforts to be "reasonable" we've also become
compromised.

The argument I keep making is this.
It's much easier for someone to walk into a school, restaurant, etc. with a gym bag full of semi automatic pistols and multiple mags than for that same person to strut in holding an AR. He now has just as much fire power, and it's better concealed.
So how in the hell is banning 30 round magazines and automatic rifles the answer? Wait until we have a few shootings like the scenario described above. Then they come back for the semi auto pistols too. And they will keep coming back until they have everything, don't fool yourself.
It's not about guns, it's about control.

New York? We're gonna get an influx of "Come-Heres" after what Cuomo did yesterday.
I like Come-Here's. They wanna be free.
The Gun Owner is the "new" Slave in the 21st century...
Where's Fredrick Douglas, and Harriet Tubman when you need them.

We had to over-throw one tyrant (George III) in 1776. And I suspect there are a few that will stand up and be counted if that need arises again. Its what true Americans are made of.

"We need to have an open discussion and come to a compromise." I hate hearing this in the office, I hate hearing it in politics. (No, I don't hear it at home!)
I actually had an anti-gunner approach me and say, "I'll give you your 2A, and you give me universal health care. That's a good compromise." No, that's not, you idiot.

That is the fundamental difference. They believe this country is a democracy, so if they get enough people to want something, it's OK. You believe this country is a constitutional republic founded on the concept of inalienable rights, so it doesn't matter how many people want something, if it's wrong, it's wrong.

The left and MSM are playing chess while the right and NRA are playing hopscotch .
They are 5 moves ahead and have momentum and have us on our heels defending ourselves.
They've done this with every major initiative and the election and until the republicans have a spokesperson who knows what they are doing we're screwed.
It's like in football, run it down the other teams throat until they stop you, we haven't even slowed them down yet.
