Buckmark magazine weirdness

I'm at wit's end here. I have a Browning Buckmark that's ~ 6 years old and recently I've started to have trouble with some of my magazines ejecting when I fire my last round.

I thought that it may be magazine-related so I purchased a new one from the factory and am having the same issue with it. I marked my magazines and noticed that this consistently happens with 2 of my 3 magazines. Never has happened (yet) with one of them.

Any tips on what to inspect?

Thanks for any input or ideas.

A dirty or dulled extractor? A weak slide release spring?

You might want to check to see if the gun needs a good cleaning, try some different ammunition (is it all the same batch? old?) With some snap caps, is the round fully chambering?

Just some thoughts as I don't have a buckmark (though they do look neat).

Thank you for the suggestions. Disassembly and thorough cleaning is on deck for this weekend. No problems with chambering, but it could very well be related to some really filthy cheapo rounds I fed through her recently. If I figure it out, I'll post a recap here.

Thanks again for the tips.

Yes. Pops right out the bottom.

Think it might be part #28? It looks like if that spring is weak or broken, the magazine wouldn't release well.
