Just great...

Post by arab1302 »

Let me be sure I understand. If Congress doesn't increase the debt limit, the first thing we are going to cut is my father's Social Security check that he paid into for over 45 years and my military retirement check that I receive after serving for 21 years in the Marine Corps? Isn't there someone out there getting a check for not doing anything at all that we can look at cutting first?

Yes. I'd start with Congress and the White House.

If the debt isn't serviced and the checks cut, it will be by a unilateral, unconstitutional action of the liar in chief.

"Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America's debt limit."

Then-Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., in a March 16, 2006 floor speech explaining his decision to oppose a request to increase the federal debt limit, then set at $8.2 trillion.

8.2 trillion in 2006…………over 16 trillion today. God Help us.
