Wal-mart suspends ammo orders until Obama makes 2A decision

[edit]**I just listened to the audio found at the link at the end of this post, and it sounds a little fishy...that Wal-Mart representative was stammering an awful lot. This could be a fabrication - what do you think?[/edit]

Got this from a friend in email.
Wal-Mart wrote:“As of right now Wal Mart is not going to be making any new orders of ammo because of the upcoming decision on the second amendment”. “As of right now we are unsure of what new legislation might be coming, and because of this, we are suspending new orders. We will continue to sell what is already in stock in stores and at our distribution centers, but any new orders will not be shipped until the issue is resolved”.
Okay, I just listened to the audio and it sounds like it's on the up and up. What I find interesting is the part where he says the president is going to pass the law. What? No senate hearings? No evidence? No nothing? Why, I'm disappointed in your Commander-in-Chief. Glad I didn't vote for him......

I do not have a link as of yet but here is what I have found out…
Stopped by my local Wal Mart this morning. They are out of almost every kind of ammo.
I asked to talk to the person in charge of ordering to see if they had any information on this subject.
The manager I talked to said they had not heard anything…BUT.
She tried to order some .223 as I was standing there. She said the order was being rejected by the corporate office. Said she had never had that happen.
She called corporate as I was standing there.
And was told this. “As of right now Wal Mart is not going to be making any new orders of ammo because of the upcoming decision on the second amendment”. Said, “As of right now we are unsure of what new legislation might be coming, and because of this, we are suspending new orders. We will continue to sell what is already in stock in stores and at our distribution centers, but any new orders will not be shipped until the issue is resolved”.
So after they run out, there will be no restocking until Obama makes his decision…Hows that change working out for you now?
As I said, I dont have a link, but you can call Wal Mart headquarters at 1-800-925-6278 for yourself and ask. After the answer press 2 then 1 then 1 again and wait to talk to a rep. I just did this myself and was told the same thing.
Something must have changed at the meeting they had on Thursday.
Guess we will have to wait and see what Obama has in store for us next.

Guys, I am not making this up…Call and find out for yourself.
Another confirmation:
Home - Audio Blogs > WalMart Federal Gun Control
I just recorded the audio to me calling the corporation and this is all too real. It all comes back to “we have to wait for the President to revise the new law for the Federal Gun Control Act. Then we will change our policy”. – sonarx

I looked up what seems to be the original report on Investment Watch, including a phone conversation with a W-M customer support person. Details are here: http://investmentwatchblog.com/breaking ... more-ammo/

The recording does not support what has been reported in blogs. I'm withholding an opinion on W-M until the facts can support one.

But it would not surprise me to learn that W-M has been threatened by the regime.

Wal-Mart is sending a representative to the Obama gun ban talks, it's very true. I had to drive 33 miles to a Wal-Mart just to purchase 9mm FMJ.

Walmart didn't bail on us like the other retailers did.. however not ordering more until they know the legalities and ability to sell their product across thousands of stores is just sound business.

What if half of what they order becomes illegal to sell by the time they receive it. That's a pretty huge pill to swallow.

So did the NRA. Just having a rep there means nothing, As of right now Walmart is not taking a stance on ANYTHING at all.

I emailed corporate asking for additional information. Doubt I will hear back but until I do I don't care if it's a sound business decision or not I won't be spending any money with Wal-Mart or Sam's. If this is true they are doing nothing more than empowering these idiots even more, just like Dick's did. Now NY is calling for a voluntary stop to sales of modern hunting rifles from major retailers until the legislation can be worked out.

Most recent scuttlebutt (supposedly from actual Corporate) is Walmart will continue to sell ammunition.

Keep in mind folks, Wal-mart is big, and may command a bit more attention than regular gunshops... but they too are affected by shortages...

My peeps in the local Wally-world say they're stocking it, and people are buying it as fast as they put it on the shelf. One guy said "I don't even waste my time putting it up. I just leave it on the cart by the register, and within 20 minutes of me getting it, people know, and it's gone before the end of the day."

And in truth? With the Head Numbskull In Charge in the white house (not capitalized on purpose), and the worthless jaskwagons in Congress, I would continue as well.

I said it yesterday, I'll say it again today... Your Walmart is bare because people like me keep buying it up. You WILL see ammo at Walmart.

Lord knows I'm no fan of Walmart, but this is true. You can't fault them for being careful not to get caught with inventory they either can't sell or (more likely) can't stand to pay for the red tape attached to selling it. Of course, knowing what I do about those b@stards, if they did get caught that way, they'd just refuse to pay their suppier for it and make THEM eat the loss.

Never happened. I saw a copy of the latest email from Walmart hdqtrs to it's stores on the Glock forum yesterday. It's business as usual and they are restocking stores as fast as they can. Check it out for yourselves.
