That nuclear weapons question should not even be asked unless the questioner believes the Government would use them against citizens. Is that a concern of the Press?

Everyone says they want to have a "rational conversation" but it seems like that's just not possible. The division is just so wide that I don't think there's a bridge long enough to span the gap.

"Rational conversation" and "common-sense" are double-speak for emotionalism and increased restrictions, respectively. Action/consequence and personal responsibility are anathema.
