Been wanting this gun for awhile and decided it's now or never. Special thanks to NOVA Armament for helping me out in every way with this purchase!

I wish I could have gotten a knights armament SASS. I was given a DPMS SASS so I'm not gonna complain... but it was the knights that the military went with.

what does the "SR" instead of "AR" designate?

This is one fine rifle ! Plenty of rails to mount all the accessories you will want. A guy that comes to the Ft. Lee Range has one , I have shot it several times . I am very impressed . If I weren't already Gun Poor , one of these would be on my list.....Enjoy your New Rifle ! :sniper:

really? I know SASS stands for semi auto sniping system and REPR stands for rapid engagement precision rifle. Superior sounds kinda off. It's not survival, semi, strategic, etc? If it was called a SAR rifle I'd believe superior but ...

I'm not much into black rifles, but for some reason this one kinda floats my boat. Where's the cupholder?

Didn't install it. I wear a beer helmet when I'm shooting. Much more practical.

I didn't used to be into the black rifles, either. I thought of them as "those ugly, plastic guns". And truth to tell, If I had to choose I still prefer a rifle with some wood and blued steel. But the black ones are kind of like those Pringles' potato chips: You can't look at them forever without trying one, and after you try one you can't have just ONE of 'em, ya know?

@GF

Might try moving that reddot forward on the rail. Typically, the ideal mounting location is right at the edge of the upper. Of course, whatever works for you is best.

awesome info gunderwood.
"In 1990, he joined Knight's Armament Company (KAC) to create the Stoner Rifle-25 (SR-25), which currently sees military service as the United States Navy Mark 11 Mod 0 Sniper Weapon System. While at KAC, he also worked on yet another version of the Stoner Weapons System, called the Stoner 96. Among his last designs was the SR-50 rifle."

Now I kinda want a Stoner rifle. I wonder if anybody has made a rail mount bong yet :roll:

Yeah, I just attached it real quick for the picture after I bought it. Since then, I've been moving it around to find my comfort zone.

Very nice choice. What mount are you going with on that micro? Assuming you want to co-witness.... 1/3 or absolute?
I had a SCAR 17 and 16. I also had a bunch of Glocks and a couple H&K pistols. Oh and a DDM4, but I sold everything when our government told me these dangerous tools can actually hurt someone. Apparently they grow legs and go on killing sprees.

Also, I've got a Surefire WeaponLight on backorder at the moment. As soon as it's complete, I'll post better pictures.
