So did you get a chance to check it out? I'd hate to drive two hours and find it inaccessible.

I was at Bath county rifle range Sunday and drove back home past Hite Hollow (fire roads back to Stuarts Draft).
There was no snow at either range and the roads are just fine.
Hite Hollow has been pretty clean the last few times I've been there, I always make it a point to pick up a couple pieces of trash on the way back from setting my target and I'm hoping people see this and it rubs off.
I like to go there early Sunday mornings, when it's only 10 degrees out there usually isn't anyone there.
I don't know what the weather expected today and tommorrow will bring but I have a feeling it will be more wet than frozen.

The pistol range at Hite Hollow is showing a lot of clay soil with no vegetation lately. If there's much precip, expect slippery mud. Boots are reccomended!

Okay that was Thursday. Friday brought a we bit of sun but the coming rain should clear the snow from the places that the sun does not shine.
I say it is a Go.
The trash cans are all full and it is a bit scruffy, but hey it is February!

2/19/2013: I have a real shortage of target stands and backing cardboard at this point so if anyone can bring some to
the event that would be great!
I will bring 5 target stands but I only have enough uprights for 3. If someone will pick up 4 six foot 1x2's for the other two that would be great. I'll also bring a bunch of cardboard for backing. Looks like the forecast on accuweather is not predicting any precip today or tomorrow so it should be a fun day.
Some questions:
Any restrictions on drawing from holster?
Are there tables for our gear? If not I'll bring a folding table.
OK to bring my dog (Chocolate Lab)? He'll spend most of the time in the truck or on leash.

Range was in good shape today. You should have a good day to shoot. If I don't go fly fishing tommorrow I may stop by. I dropped off the .204 at Nuckols today to get pillar bedded but I could bring an assortment of pistols and my .17HMR. If I don't see you guys have fun.
