Hey guys, when's the next Utah CCW class in Northern Virginia? Thanks in advance.

Not exactly NOVA, but I'm attending the one in Richmond at Bass Pro shops on the 28th this month.

Any additional info on a Utah class near Fairfax? Richmond is a bit of a haul for a six-hour class. Thanks.

NRA is having a Utah CCW class on Feb 12 from 6 - 10 PM.

Can someone explain the Utah class? I am guessing it allows to conceal carry in states that the VA CHP does not allow?

Our next Utah permit class is Feb. 24th in Doswell, VA.

We get people from all over Nova.............Pa, Md, De, too. Its a quick drive.

The Utah permit is one of the best non-resident permits to be had. If you have a Va. resident permit, Utah's permit adds 5 more states:

Georgia
Alabama
Washington State
Minnesota
Wisconsin

Why is it called the Utah class when it doesn't even include Utah as one of the additional states to add to the VA CHP ?

Does this class issue you a new CHP, or do you have to carry a 2nd license covering the additional states with your VA CHP ?

Its a Utah permit, from Utah. Its not a new Virginia CHP. Its like having a driver's license in Virginia and Utah. You can get non-resident permits from most states, and due to the agreements those states have with other states, you can carry in multiple states.

I said Doswell by mistake....I meant Ashland.

To the OP - I think that we do the best Utah permit class in Virginia. I'm biased, of course but we have thousands of satisfied customers who would agree with me.

We'd be happy to have you in class.

When's the next one?

The gun show that hits the Chantilly Expo Center about every other month does one out in a large trailer in the parking lot. Next one is early June (just had one last weekend).

I seem to recall one of the local training outfits that trains security guards, etc... in the area also has classes, but the link is escaping me right now.

These guys do there's at the NRA HQ Range on a regular (roughly weekly basis) and if you're really antsy, youc an pay for a one-on-one class with their instructor as well...
