I just left 2 local shops. Talk about a mad house. What was left on the shelves was flying off. I did manage to score 5 pmags and some 45 ammo.

ARs were going like hot cakes.

11 am Friday morning Dance's was Swamped....3 deep all the way down the counter. No AR's or Clips. Lots of bare space on all the Pistol Shelves. The only large boxes of .223 were 200 rds. for $199.00 ( 5 left ) and 1 box of 500 rds. for $269.00 . I did get a 1000 rd. box of Tulammo 7.62x39 for $289.00.

There were a couple or three at Albemarle County Firearms in Cville when I visited yesterday afternoon. I don't know if they are still there today...

Quantico tactical had a bunch but they were all S&W which through an exclusive contract they can only sell them to LEO, military and first responders.

They had cases of pmags that were quickly disappearing and you were limited to 10.

Dominion Arms in Manassas has some AR-15 mags left. They're only selling two to each customer.

Also, there was only one customer in there when I was showed up. They seemed to have a decent selection of guns still available.

Colonial Shooting Academy's walls were EMPTY! The pistol counters were BARE! Mags? Empty holes.

I have to work the gunshow this Sunday. I'll report back what I see. Hopefully, I can score a 75 round drum for the AK... Why? Just because.

Gloucester County fun stores are all dry on EBRs, less a 9mm version at Six Rivers...but the nice lady at Neal's Hunting and Fishing on 17 said that RedNecks, up in Tappahannock had some in supply...but be prepared to pay!

I was in Ashby Arms yesterday, a lot of bare hooks on the wall. They had some M1A/ M14 type rifles available, zero ARs. They were also preparing to use a lottery system for future lowers. You had to fill out a ticket (in person, only one ticket) it went into the ammo can. If some lowers come in, they will pull the same number of tickets out of the can and contact those folks, they will then have 48 hours to come by and make the purchase. If they don't, they will pull another name out of the can. It sounds like a good idea/ fair way to do it...

I stopped in Virginia Arms yesterday and the only black rifles left were class-3. I didn't see any mags. Driving by Clark Bros. I didn't even stop due to no parking available.

I'm just watching gunbroker off and on and searching "WASR" and "Bushmaster" people are willing to shell out some serious cash. It's amazing to watch the realtime demand drive these things.

I work a second job at the largest independent fun shop in 'Merica. The owner is a rapid capitalist. Very interesting things go on in there, mostly on my side of the aisle.

Very Used GI Mags - $30

Non windowed Pmags - $50, then $40 today

Windowed - $60 then 50 today

What few black rifles remaining on hand were used to create package deals with very useful, quality and standard accessories, but turning them into $2500-4000 packages. Those have not moved off the wall much.

The 200 or so black rifles that have filled the storage safe room to the 12 foot ceiling are gone and the room is nearly totally empty.

An endless stream of people walk in asking the same 3 ?s about AR15s in 223?
Got any?
When?
Can I order one.

Got called a price gouger for the Pmags.

Got told by a (95% probability Owebama voter based on ethnicity) guy, "who could have seen this coming?"
Answer? Me. Me in 2008, and I confirmed all suspicions last month.

Failing to prepare makes preparing now a near fail or at least a real pain in the ass and epically expensive.

Stopped by the Doswell gun show yesterday and they were hurting for supplies, it seemed. One vender had only a few .556 30rd mags left and was selling for $50 a pop. Vendors said those were gone after the first hour or so.

Moved on to SSG Tactical where they had only two AR-15s left and they too, had sold all their 11.99 30rd mags. They were still selling their new black ones, but they were going for $49.99. All their bulk ammo was gone.

Big Dog in King George still had some bulk ammo supply last Thursday - but mostly TulAmmo.

I hear ya! My P556 Swat that I bought for a bloated price several months ago is selling nearly double that on GunsAmerica. Better than a 401K!

Drove down to Doswell show this AM. What a waste. Spent maybe 20 minutes in the show. Very unimpressive. Dropped by Gander Mountain and then SSG Tactical. I'm looking for a 1911 of mid-to-high end quality. SSG had a great selection, but not what I was looking for (er, could afford). Crowded but not crazy. I saw the $50 pmags.

Every table in the gunshows, every gun shop, every online dealer... is empty. I have seen people clear out emergency accounts, they go to buy three, and four semi-auto rifles, cases of ammo, and boxes of magazines.

OBAMA! Gun Salesman of the CENTURY!

I am saying this bluntly. You WILL not get the FIREARMS! PERIOD!
