Not sure if anyone has seen this, it's a long read, but definitely a good one.

It is written by a licensed psychiatrist and digs pretty deep into why people are actually anti-gun, to understand not how they feel, but why they feel the way they do. It also dives a bit into how to show them the other side, how to diffuse a situation, etc. Unlike most pieces written either for or against, it actually includes references and historical fact to support the idea behind it. I wonder if any one has told Piers Morgan That the crime rate soared by 300% in his Country when they outlawed private ownership of firearms. UK has ~60 million people, they had 163k knife crimes

You ban one weapon, they'll find another.

Nice statistic. So the knife crime rate in the UK is 203.75% of the gun crime rate in the US. But that's not really apples to apples. It would be more statistically compelling if we knew:
(1) what is the knife crime rate in the US?
(2) What are the rates in each place for battery, mayhem, malicious woulding, and all the collection of offenses that involve the infliction of bodily harm by one individual against another?

The antis don't care about knives because they say people are more likely to survive a knife stabbing than a gunshot wound. They completely ignore the fact that malicious people will use anything they can get their hands on to cause damage as well as fail to do anything to treat the actual problem instead of putting bandaids on the symptoms.

They also need to tell him that under his thinking, free speech using any medium other than face to face methods and newspapers is not allowed since they are not mentioned in the Constitution.

Slightly different model (doesn't show how many knife crimes, just the percentage of crimes that were gun or knife).

Shows that as the Gun Crime rate dropped, the knife rate increased. You'll noticed most of the higher gun ones, show a low knife crime rate (most in the top half don't break 15% knife). As the gun rate dropped, the knife rate increased (many in the lower half break 15%, a lot breaking 20% and more).

When I was in Walmart once a guy asked me "Don't you need a permit to carry that?" and he said it as if he were scared and angry that I was OCing. I simply responded that in the state of Virginia there is no law against OC and that if he had questions he could contact his local Law Enforcement Agency. I also stated that it was his right in the state of Virginia to protect himself and his family if he chose to do so.
