So... is it better to risk the ire of mall security anc CC and later be asked to leave the mall, or lose a child to a kidnapper?

The kicker here is that the mall "security" let the perp go and did not notify the police when they initially detained the would-be abuctor.

Further, they let the SOB go and didn't get his name! WTF?

Please contact SIMON malls and express your displeasure at bothe their anti-firearm policy and their beyond negligent handling of this incident.

For the sake of legality, I will say I know someone that carries everywhere unless it's a federal building. He doesn't care about any other posted sign or made up law. He does what he needs to to protect his family and self. It's better to be judged by 12 than carried by six. You are the only one that makes provisions for your safety.

Interesting. I suspect that there may be a couple of Mall Ninjas available for hire, as of now...

Wow. I have been there often. Was the father armed? I would like to know the non-lethal tactics employed by the father. What a frightening experience, and what a great job by him.

Charges against Mr James Key were dropped. Apparently the prosecutors thought they couldn't win a case because the perp suffers from seizures "which may lead to inappropriate behavior in public places".

Yeah... seizures. He sure as hell seized that kid.
