Things like this sadly make more sense everyday,,,,

What the last election was about to the low lifes of the country..

A few groups are obviously missing from that pic ,but the general idea comes through loud and clear

Only in America could I read that entire post, agree with it 100%, and still be thankful that I live in this country.
Or maybe it's just the turkey and gravy talking

As much as I hate paying them, I could have accepted tax increases if they affected everyone relatively equallty, from the 1%'ers right down to the people paying zilch right now and if the tax increases actually paid down debt, not served as a basis for newer spending (seriously, tell a politican you cut $1.00 in spending he hears that $1.25 just got freed up for the budget).
Thing is though, its waaaaay past the point we can clean up the debt of the last hundred years, even with a bare-bones government and crushing taxes (we'll get the latter, never the former).
Methinks a strategic default is in order whether the powers that be want it or not.
Thank God I ditched bonds five years ago.

I heard someone a few days ago say that the reason Romney lost is he had a plan to make jobs for a country that no longer wants to work. While there are still people who want to work there seems to be more that don't. I know people who are out of work that want to work and are willing to do anything (legally) in order to provide for their families but the economy is causing too many companies to close or cut their work force.

They should have added Warren Buffet to #3.

At this point? We're a minority. Anyone who wants small government, equal tax rates for EVERYONE, with NO exemptions, controlled/reduced government programs, and self-individual responsibility.
(shrugs) WOLVERINES!

Yeah it is sad that Romneys offer of jobs was rebuked by those that think it all should be for free,,Obamas freebies just looked to good to them while they helped destroy the country a little more, But yet the lying bastards in DC still harp on the jobs thing like they will pull them out of thin air. Hmmmm>>>>> Wolverines....! May not be such a bad thought after all!

There is alot of merit in that idea.

All of the financial arguments, independent of party affiliations, dance around the fundamental concepts. To be fair, they do this because the reality is a harsh sell.
Two key concepts to listen for:
DEBT: This is how deep of a hole you're in.
DEFICIT: This is how fast you are continuing to dig.
The next time you hear arguments about more or less "deficit" reductions, keep in mind that this translates to an argument over how fast to continue digging!

Very true!
Too bad economics, and finance isn't taught in school with Civics anymore.

In fact, yes, they do. My mother, father and sister still use them. I haven't had one since I fired my bank several years ago. Once in a while, though, a relative will give me money in the form of a personal check.

The biggest problem in the jobs market now is that a person would have to take a pay cut to take a job. I still say that no government check should made out to an individual unless it's for product or services rendered to the country.
