48 MINUTES? Just tell us what he said in 100 words or so.

Typical Ron Paul stuff. Government grows by the year. Liberty continues to take a beating. Different parties may be in charge over the years but the same policies keep rolling on. I never heard him mention the executive branch or judicial branch, but he did mention Congress in a negative light numerous times. The applause at the end gave me the impression that there were six people listening to him (which would be six more people than is normally present when you see videos like this).

Godspeed good sir! One of the few great statesmen of our era.

Yes, 48 minutes packed full of more political wisdom than most people can muster in a lifetime. Only propaganda fits into nice one liners.

That old geezer was my candidate of choice. Even put some money towards him. It's frustrating how a man with the wisdom he had got slammed by the media as being the "cooky old guy." He was too nice of a guy, but would have done well I feel.

Oh well, maybe next time. God speed Ron. Thanks for all you've done and doing what you did for he Right reasons, not because "that's how politics works."

I agree Mama, would have been a great president.

I watched this video a few days ago, and loved the whole thing. Loved the end where he explained how to change ourselves and our government for the better.

Which is interesting because we now have a 24 hour news cycle. You'd think that would be a lot more time to fill with reasoned thought and discourse....

Its irritating because now everyone wants "magic wand" solutions for really complex problems with tons of variables like the national debt, healthcare, foreign policy, etc.

Maybe this is due to the natural American proclivity for doing things quickly, I don't know.

It's because of our new short attention spans and fast-food mentality. Like really? I have to sit in a drive-thru line for two minutes for a meal that would take ten minutes to cook anywhere else? I'm outta here!

Our advances have not only made things more convenient/easier/faster to do, but have also shortened our attention span and patience.

It just allows them to repeat the same 5second sound bite over and over and over again.

People claim material, ideas, and thoughts all the time they should not possess.

When we stop claiming, and start sharing materials, ideas, and thoughts... maybe things will change.

Doubtful, but it's a hope, and change I POSSESS!

He makes a lot of good points, and he speaks honestly. The same thing can't be said for many politicians these days.

What's best for the Nation IS what's best for "them". They are just too short sighted to see that.

Ron Paul... The man has a great many good ideas, and valid, viable plans. I just can't take him seriously, though. I think that it has much to do with his tone of voice, and less than intimidating appearance. Congress was a much better place for him, and he probably got more done there, than he ever would have while in the White House. I wish that we had more like him in Congress, actually.

I guess people do prefer style over substance.

This whole country's foray into "style" over "substance" is gonna be the downfall.

The main issue comes to mind about pisspoor leadership that won't say "No", because the other guy says "Yes". I hate comparing guv'mint to parenting, but it's the same thing. When you constantly give in to "children" they grow up ROTTEN!
