The next round of quantitative easing will crush the already feeble economy like a bug. That combined with the Bush tax cuts expiring, Obamacare mandates and their accompanying taxes will spark double-digit inflation like we haven't seen since the late seventies.
That is, unless the SMOD becomes a reality.

You mean the magic money machine the nice people at the Fed delivered from the Mountaintop was a bad idea?
Balderdash I say!

You are wrong here looking only to the past. China is moving more and more to make trades using renminbi around the world. Even the sanctions imposed to Iran does not work; they moved away from dollar and use gold instead.
No more than 5 years form now, you can print as much as you want, nobody will want the green toilet paper. And then, you will need to work cheaper than the chinese to put food on the table.
Isn't the collectivism great? It is. but... ARE YOU READY for it?

Not entirely wrong, no; the goods we still got will still exist when our IOU's vanish.
In any event China can't force a currency shift; it can happen, but will have to happen over time naturally. Theres also the fact China is showing serious problems of its own and will be knocked down a few pegs anyway.
I'm getting ready I guess, looking to diversify my income. Thought about buying a small building and converting it into a moderate-level care nursing home but the numbers wouldnt work for profitability in this area.
