Recommended gunsmith in NoVA area to install night sights on an M&P 9C and two M&P Shields. Recommendations? I've seen some REALLY bad work, and don't want to have a slide that looks like it's been beaten with a crowbar.

Just make sure they are using a real sight pusher rather than a punch and all should be fine. For the cost of putting sights on two pistols (or less) you can get the tool and do it yourself.
Low cost option:

High end option:

I can tell you the MGW is a good tool from personal experience. A bit pricey, but well worth it if you do a couple of pistols and/or plan on replacing the sights every 10 years (tritium).
