My Sig Sauer Collection

Here's my Sig Sauer collection. I started with the SIG P229 and then I got a SIG 516 Patrol with a 16" barrel. To be honest I knew I wanted an AR but I was a total n00b and didn't know which one to get. I went with the brand I recognized, Sig Sauer, and luckily for me I have not had any issues.
I filed the form to convert the SIG 516 lower to an SBR lower. In the meantime, I saw a good deal on a SIG 516 Pistol with a 7.5" barrel so I bought it. Once I received the tax stamp I switched the PDW upper to the SBR lower and then converted the pistol lower to a rifle for the 16" upper.
I'm toying with the idea of getting one of those SIG 1911s for my next Sig.

I got a big case of sticker shock yesterday when I saw the Sig Sauer 1911s at Sterling Arsenal. If I get one it will probably be the basic.

lol the irony I was in there yesterday looking at them as well
did you check out the American Classic 1911 they had there -not as name brandy and defintitely not as tight but if you are looking for a personal shooter, they assured me it holds up just fine-it may not be match grade but for the price seems a good way to start the 1911 collection (I went to look at sigs and had a bit of the same feeling and that was the alternative they suggested as a good one to start with)

Was the American Classic 1911 the one that was made in the Philippines? I think I saw that one and agree that it is a good starter 1911. It's pretty basic too so it might be fun to trick it out and learn more about 1911s. And at around $500 that leaves some money in the bank for accessories.

Lol, I LOVE MY SIG 1911.
The only thing I changed was the recoil spring and guide rod.
Stock guide rod is about 1.5" and they use a "flat" 18lb spring.
I installed a Wilson Combat 2-piece guide rod and I'm using a 15lb spring right now. The 18lb seemed a bit too much after the full length guide rod install, and I haven't tried the 12lb one yet.
Breaks my heart to sell it, but I've got a few other priorities at the moment, and I will be getting another one.
