Good article. Barring death, do you think any of the aging justices would hold on until a better retirement opportunity presents itself? If Obama wins conservative justices will try to stay on or if Romney wins liberal justices will try to stay on?

Actually, I predict that if Obama loses, Justice Ginsburg will retire in order to give Obama and Harry Reid's Senate a lame-duck opportunity to put in another lefty extremist like herself and Kagan before the session ends on 12/31. I hope McConnell's Republicans have the cojones to filibuster such an appointment right through to Jan 1.

It certainly wouldn't be the first time stuff like that had happened.

The SCOTUS hooligans barely cling onto what they're there to protect as it is. I'm sure not much will change in that event but I'm thinking another teet sucker will slide in there and make life (more) hell for 2A if Mr. President has his way.

It really wouldn't. The status quo would remain irregardless of who won.

By and by, no Protestants on there. Not one. I find that fascinating.

Yes, but now that we're a MINORITY, maybe they'll treat us better.

I had read that maybe a day or two ago. Again very fascinating.

No, PROTESTANTS are now a minority, according to at least some news outlets.

With Obama in place, a majority in the Supreme court would allow him to gut the 2nd amendment and destroy gun rights. I think the two main reasons that he has not done so in earnest to this point is reelection and not having a majority on the court. Remove those two barriers and very bad things will happen.

As Dormin said we're talking about Protestants, but on your subject when you factor in the huge numbers of illegal immigrants that arent counted the true # of Whi-T Americans is probably in the high 50%'s. (Whites are officially 63 or 64% on the books as of the last census).

And dropping.
