Range time with the Smith and Wesson 625

I always feel a little dirty when I shoot my Smith 625 because it's the the only Smith I own that has the stupid Internal Lock.... however it shoots so well that I easily forgo that one annoyance.
With nothing else to do today and 150rnds of freshly loaded .45ACP laying around, I decided to take my GF (who loves to shoot) and a few of my .45's to the range. We do most of our recreational shooting at the THE RANGE in Stafford and today was no exception. It was unbeliveably muggy and hot in the shooting area, it was really hard to concentrate on what I was doing.... So at any rate here is one 50 round string, fired double action at a distance of 20yrds with the 625. The group measures 2.5" at it's largest.
Despite the hot, muggy conditions and continually having sweat running in my eyes, it was a good day. It really tested my concentration and even thou I dropped a few rounds wide, I am still pretty happy with my effort today.
After 50 hard fought rounds with the 625, I was pretty much spent mentally. I moved the target back to 15yrds and me and my GF shot the rest of the ammo thru my Les Baer PII and my orginal COLT 70 Series into groups only slightly smaller. Being able to shoot 1.5"-2" groups at 15yrds with those 2 pistols is really nothing to write home about so I didn't bother keep the targets. Althou I should have because she has a nasty flinching problem that we have been working on for a while and today thru 25 or so rounds she managed to to catch herself before the sear broke and did not drop one round... She kept putting then thru the ragged hole in the target.... With 3 different .45's no less -so I'm really proud of her being able to do that.
Take it easy guys/gals and if you have a Smith and Wesson 625 get out and shoot it.
