I am going to "watch." By that I mean the TV will be on and tuned to the station whilst I perform server maintenance. The only reason it's going to be on is because I am convinced that something interesting is going to happen a-la- Joe "The Brain" Biden.

Comic hijinx and all that.

Don't forget about the Obama Drinking Game. Every time Captain Kickass says "I" or "me", you have to take a shot.

Kaos,
I'm with you, I think the Biden/Ryan debate will be very entertaining. I believe that is supposed to air next week on the 11th.

I watched (well, listened the audio while working) this morning, I'd have to say Romneys practice really paid off. The stammering and wandering off onto weird tangents he did during the primary dissipated, I really expected Obama to crush him based on oratory skills, but no, he did well.

Still kept dodging the specifics on the credits and deductions I noticed. I was amused at the jab on the contributers to Obama being given federal dollars to run failure green energy companies.

I'm with Skeeter; the VP debate will be the one to watch.

A fistfight? Will Biden light his podium on fire and take a hostage? Will Ryans unending lies crack the space-time continuum? It will be hilarious for sure.

So Kreutz, perhaps you could detail what you claim to be "Ryan's unending lies". I'm not going to let your blithe attempt at slander go unchallenged.

If you didn't watch, you missed a helluva tale in body language. Obama largely was not meeting the gaze of the moderator, his opponent, or the crowd.

From the NBC coverage last night, the take-away line is from Savanna Guthrie: "Obama needed to close the deal, and he didn't."

Here's some of the media response from last night.

Well, I guess you can expect the writer to be a little partisan, but I LOVE the headline.

I am wondering how many times Biden will tell Ryan that he is smarter and better educated than he is.

Had we had a fair (not left leaning) moderator the thrashing by Romney would have been much greater. Obama without the teleprompter is a funny sight to see.

Here's the direct linkage for the Chris Mathews video. Guess the thrill running up his leg changed direction and turned yellow.

Blithe? Does the GOP pay you to defend them at every turn? If not you're quite the useful idiot, anyway....

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2012/08/ ... ree-words/
On the other hand, to anyone paying the slightest bit of attention to facts, Ryan’s speech was an apparent attempt to set the world record for the greatest number of blatant lies and misrepresentations slipped into a single political speech. On this measure, while it was Romney who ran the Olympics, Ryan earned the gold.

When Faux News calls out a Republican for lying, its gotta be bad.

He also lied about his marathon times, earning the enmity of every fruity jogger.

Google "paul ryan marathon" and "lie" is the second option. Seems he has a reputation for fibbing already.
