I hate posting other forums but in this case I'll make an exception. I started this one trying to inform others not to deal with a certain individual but was too late and someone got scammed. If you or anyone else has been affected by this individual please read than pass along the info to your friends or other boards. The more we spread this information the less likey this person will get away.

You're in VA. He's in NC.

Call me crazy, but wouldn't a F2F purchase without an FFL transfer be illegal anyway?

Technically?

Why, especially if they meet in VA?

If we continue to follow their (the government's) BS unconstitutional rules then we are just as guilty as the politicians.

Am I mistaken in believing you can not legally purchase any firearm from a Non-FFL from another state since 1968? I thought all interstate commerce involving firearms required FFL.

Hence the inclusion of the term "technically"? See post by user 'sboyajian' above.

You are mistaken. Interstate sales of long guns (private sale or FFL) are perfectly fine. Interstate sales of pistols must go thru FFL (private sales outlawed.)

Ah. Upon further review this is MOSTLY true, though some states outlaw out-of-state private sales of long guns, too.

Like Taxachusetts, for instance.

In the end the FTF was more about what response I would get.
