Flashlight with pocket clip AND rail mount?

Finding a conceal carry holster that will fit a flashlight is nigh well impossible. I've been thinking lately that there should be a flashlight with a clip that is also rail mountable. That way, if the SHTF, you can pop that flashlight right on the gun, freeing up your other hand.

I've searched and searched tonight, but to no avail. Anyone know of one?

But then what light would you do your searching with since the weapon mounted light shouldn't be used for searching?

If I needed to search, I'd just hold the light. If things got bad quickly and I needed the light as a weapon mounted option, I go that route.

Having a light mounted to the firearm is going to make it a bit harder to conceal. Raven Concealment Systems makes a really nice holster for handguns with an X300. They also are modular so you could have a flashlight pouch attached to your holster or mag holster. Check them out.

Hey... I bumped into this post while searching for a rail mounted light that a co-worker uses to buy one for myself and thought I'd pass the information along. Safariland makes just what you are looking for and it works great. I found them online for around $80, which includes the light or you can buy the mount/belt clip seperate for a lot less if you already have a light that will fit. You can find them on eBay also. Here's a link, or Google Safariland RLS. Like the pics show, it just slides on the rail, and then you snap it upward alongside the barrel to lock it in place. Reverse the procedure to remove. I didn't try the belt clip, but I am a police officer and the co-worker that uses the light clips it on his duty belt and it has never come off. It looks pretty strong. Hope this helps
